Inside out

The composition depicts a fantastical creature-like assembly of interlocking shapes against a bright yellow-green background. A large pink circular eye dominates the upper left portion, surrounded by teal blue curved forms suggesting a head with pointed purple ear-like protrusions. A brown cylindrical form extends horizontally through the center like a beam or tool. The body continues with angular geometric sections in purple, pink, teal, and orange, creating an almost mechanical or architectural quality. A small yellow-green fish-like face appears in the lower left corner with a simple eye. A separate pink donut shape floats in the upper left corner. Small circular eyes and stitch-like marks appear throughout the figure. The artwork embodies the concept of revealing inner workings, of turning something inside out to expose what lies beneath the surface. The layered, stacked quality of the forms suggests organs or internal mechanisms now visible on the exterior. The multiple eyes scattered throughout imply self-awareness and introspection, seeing oneself from within. The mood is one of vulnerable exposure mixed with curious examination, as if the figure has been opened up for inspection. The vibrant colors prevent the image from feeling clinical, instead imbuing it with a sense of wonder at the complexity hidden inside every being. There is both discomfort and fascination in seeing what is normally concealed now displayed openly.
